James is a seasoned finance and operations professional with over a decade of experience supporting businesses in roles ranging from Financial Controller to Director of Operations. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong reputation for combining technical expertise with strategic insight to help organizations improve performance, streamline processes, and make confident, data-driven decisions.
He graduated from Memorial University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Commerce and went on to earn his CPA designation in 2017. Committed to continuous growth, James further expanded his skill set by completing a Master’s Certificate in Project Management in 2018, followed by the Oxford Strategic Innovation Programme in 2021. This diverse educational background allows him to approach challenges from both a financial and operational perspective, making him a well-rounded leader.
James is known as a perpetual learner who is always seeking new ways to improve systems, enhance efficiency, and deliver value. He is particularly passionate about helping business owners gain clarity and control over their financial information. By ensuring that financial data is accurate, timely, and consistently maintained, he empowers clients to focus on what matters most—growing their businesses with confidence.

Jennifer Collins is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper with over 20 years of experience supporting businesses across a wide range of industries. Her career has been defined by a strong commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and helping clients gain clarity and confidence in their financials.
In 2016, after attending the Intuit Connect Conference, Jennifer developed a passion for cloud accounting and the growing ecosystem of integrated financial technologies. This marked a turning point in her career, leading her to specialize in QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based solutions. She quickly became a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and is recognized for her expertise in implementing, optimizing, and training clients on modern accounting systems.
Jennifer has also completed the Advanced Leadership Certification through the Gardiner Centre, further strengthening her ability to lead and mentor teams. Over the years, she has successfully guided bookkeepers, accounting technicians, and payroll professionals, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
As Chief Operating Officer at Keen, Jennifer combines her expertise in accounting, technology, and leadership to deliver exceptional service to both clients and her team. She plays a key role in client onboarding, data migration, and process improvement, while also providing hands-on training and ongoing support. Jennifer is particularly passionate about empowering her team, streamlining workflows, and ensuring clients feel confident in their financial systems.

Kim Kerrivan is a strategic operations and payroll leader with nearly 15 years of experience spanning individualized funding, self‑managed care, payroll administration, and systems transformation. Kim brings a values‑driven, systems‑oriented approach to leadership, with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for individuals, teams, and the organizations that support them.
As Director of Individualized Funding & Self‑Managed Solutions, Kim leads the design and delivery of payroll, financial, and operational services that enable individuals and families to successfully self‑manage their care within complex regulatory environments.
A nationally recognized payroll professional, Kim holds the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation and is an active National Payroll Institute member. Her work is grounded in precision, accountability, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on building scalable, compliant, and people‑centred systems.
A strong believer in innovation as a practical leadership discipline, Kim completed the Strategic Innovation Programme at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, further strengthening her ability to navigate change, lead transformation, and align operational systems with organizational strategy.
Kim’s work bridges strategy and execution—building workflows, KPIs, dashboards, and automated tools that significantly improve efficiency, reporting, and service quality. She brings a positive, solutions‑oriented approach to leadership, fostering inclusive teams where clarity, trust, and shared accountability are central. She loves to bring people together, create momentum through change, and maintain focus on outcomes without losing sight of the human experience behind the systems.

This is so important to us that every Keen customer is proactively scheduled for a Real Talk Retrospective on their 3-month anniversary. Whether we celebrate how great it’s been, share how things could be improved, or decide to walk away – the coffees are on us either way. And if you do decide to part ways then, we’ll refund the first 3-months of your fees.
